There were worries that the first performance by Israel may cause some problems – and there were some boos in the hall – but they were drowned out by cheers.

In the end, it passed off peacefully – and Israel is through to the final.

The final running order for the show in Basel this year has been released. Norway will open and Albania is last. Switzerland is 19th.  Stats show the later the running order, the better it will perform come the public votes.
