Servette Football Club is appealing a decision by sports authorities in Geneva and canton Vaud that the next game between Servette and Lausanne Sport should be played behind closed doors.
The sanctions were announced after the fans of the two teams clashed with police in Lausanne last month.
Lawyers acting for Servette say the decision has no legal basis and it unduly hurts those who have bought a season ticket.
They add it affects Servette disproportionately as it applies to the next match in March as it will be held at the Stade de Genève, so Servette will lose the revenue.
