Vaud police launched a major operation on Saturday evening in La Tour-de-Peilz after shots were heard in an apartment building.
A cantonal police spokeswoman says several dozen heavily armed officers sealed off the building and told resident to stay indoors.
Witnesses told the press they heard a major argument in a flat owned by a 30-year-old woman.
A man and the tenant were arrested and both taken away in handcuffs.
