A 6 meter long and two-meter-deep hole opened up in a pedestrian crossing in Geneva on the Boulevard Helvétique yesterday afternoon.
Investigations into why are still be carried out, but it is now being filled in.
The fire brigade was called to make sure no gas pipes were affected.
Recent heavy rain may be the cause as the hole was full of water, Fortunately, no one was on the crossing at the time.
It should be filled in by this afternoon.
