Around 2,000 students protested in Lausanne last night. They‘re calling for an end to the use of the Covid pass in universities.
They called it the ‘passport of shame’ and demanded the resignation of the health minister, Alain Berset.
The demonstration marked the beginning of the academic year for tens of thousands of university students.
On the whole, the return went smoothly across the country. There were smaller demonstrations in other cities – just over 100 in Zurich, Bern and Lucerne.
But the vast majority of students were checked and tested and admitted to school.
