Police are blaming a spate of accidents on snowy roads over the weekend on drivers being too keen to get the winter tyres off.
Cars on summer tyres are thought have been involved in many smashes – especially in central and eastern areas of the country.
There was a three car pile up in Hochwald in canton Solothurn – one car plummeted down a 20-meter slope. The driver suffered minor injuries.
In Aargau, a car with summer tyres lost control and smashed into a street light - then a car trying to avoid that accident hit a wall.
Also in Aargau, another vehicle slid into the oncoming lane and hit a car head on. Incorrect tyres are being blamed for that accident as well.
