Chaos at Geneva Airport on Sunday afternoon. At around 1 p.m., passengers from a Swiss flight arriving from Marrakech were mistakenly mixed with departing travelers.
Security rules broken, all passengers had to be sent back through checks.
The process dragged on for over an hour, sparking delays of up to two and a half hours. By 5 p.m., EasyJet had to scrap six routes, six departures and six arrivals.—with more cancellations possible.
The airport insists the mishap has nothing to do with Saturday’s cyberattack that hit other European hubs.
