SWISS International Airlines is stressing that it remains committed to Geneva airport, despite the pandemic causing a massive slump in air travel.
At a press conference yesterday, the company says it has invested heavily at the airport and services from Geneva were profitable in 2019.
Last year the airline reported a loss of CHF 654m. It says it is reassessing its current fleet. It will have made 1,000 job cuts by the end of the year.
Currently the airline is only offering flights to Zurich and Frankfurt from Geneva, its two main hubs.
