A full skeleton of a Tyrannosaurus Rex has been sold at auction in Zurich for CHF 4.8m.
That’s at the lower end of expectations – it was thought it would go for between 5 and 8 million francs.
It’s 67 million years old, is almost 12 metres long and 4 metres high.
The buyer will also have to pay a further CHF 700,000 in auction fees.
No details are being released of the new owner – all we know is they are European.
It’s not expected the skeleton will be put on public display.
