Teens with suspected IS links released

Two teenagers who had been arrested over Easter, suspected of having links with Islamic State and helping to plan explosive attacks in the country, have been released.

Police in canton Schaffhausen are not releasing any information about the teens, aged 15 and 16, mainly as they’re minors. 

A suspected accomplice, who’s 18, remains detained. 

The investigation has spread into Germany. Four other teens, all under 18, were arrested at the same time in the northern part of the country.

Police say they had discussed plans to attack police stations and synagogues.
