The number of passengers travelling by train in the second quarter of this year has broken records.
Figures from public transport associations show there were 5.6 billion passenger kilometres travelled between April and June. The previous record was just before the pandemic at 5.5 billion.
The latest numbers show a steady rise in train travel after covid.
