A Geneva tram hit a fire truck and overturned it yesterday morning.
The accident happened on the Route de Chancy.
The fire service says the truck was not responding to an emergency, so didn’t have blue lights or sirens – in fact it was returning from a call out.
The tram was derailed and seriously damaged – but there were no serious injuries.
Shuttle buses were laid on to replace trams for several hours.
