The UN Secretary General, Antonio Guterres, used his speech at the World Economic Forum’s meeting in Davos to lament the disappearance of Swiss glaciers and says the move to renewable energy needs to be sped up.
He points out that some of the glaciers have gone forever already and others have lost 10% of the mass in the last two years.
He also spoke about artificial intelligence. He urged companies to use it responsibly. He says some are already boosting profits by not considering human rights, privacy and social effects.
