The UN in Geneva suffered a major power cut which brought operations to a standstill for an hour.
The failure was due to renovation work currently underway at the Palais des Nations.
The cut brought proceedings at the Human Rights Council to a halt. The chamber was discussing human rights in Israel and the Palestinian territories.
The power was restored with help from the utility company, the SIG.
The UN says not all of its offices were affected.
