Leaving a voice message could also be considered stalking – even if the message is non-threatening.
That’s a decision by a Zurich court after a woman complained a man had left her 67 messages.
The man told the court his messages were not aggressive – he simply confessed his love.
The court ruled that the tone of the messages didn’t matter. It was the frequency and the length of them which was clearly in breach of the canton’s anti-stalking legislation.
The calls were all made in December last year. The man is now forbidden to contact the woman again – or he could go to jail for three months.
