Support for Swiss neutrality is dropping – but still remains very popular.
A survey published by the Centre for Security Studies and the Military Academy shows people are far more critical of neutrality since the start of the war in Ukraine.
Now 58% believe neutrality will keep Switzerland safe, down from 69% in January this year.
The war also means the people have a more pessimistic outlook of the near future, 22% say they’re worried – up 9%.
But a clear majority still don’t want to join NATO – 70% don’t believe it will enhance security.
