The weekend’s marathon races in Geneva are being hailed a success as record numbers took part.
25,000 signed up to compete and thousands more lined the streets to support friends and family taking part.
It was truly an international event as 138 nationalities took part.
The eight races catered for all ages and a range of abilities. The most popular run was the half marathon with more than 8,000 taking part. More than 5,000 ran the main event.
The Geneva Marathon is now part of the fabric of the city, say the organisers, after 19 editions.
