A woman who lives in Geneva was killed on the A1 autoroute on Wednesday afternoon in canton Aargau after hitting a deer.
The police had already been warned by other drivers the animal was spotted near the verge at Mägenwil.
The collision happened as the search was going on. The 65-year-old woman died later in hospital. The deer died on impact.
In another incident later that night, a car on the A12 in canton Fribourg collided with a herd of cows. Around 50 had wandered onto the road. Two were killed and two others had to be put down by wildlife officers. The driver was uninjured.
