The latest figures from the Cantonal Statistics Office show that female workers in Geneva earn around 8% less than similarly qualified men.
But that’s for those working full time. In Geneva 51% of women work part time, compared to 21% of men.
The Cantonal Equality Office is calling on employers to address the issue and has published guidelines on how they can take action.
