Workers take more sick days then ever before

We’re taking more days off work sick than ever before. The latest figures show last year the average worker took 9.3 days off.

Pre-pandemic, the average was around 6.5.

The numbers from the Federal Statistics Office show we’re around 34% sicker. But there’s no explanation as to why.

Press reports comment it may be a post-covid affect. More people are aware of infecting others and there was a rise in classic flu symptoms after lockdowns.
