The number of cross border workers in Geneva is climbing and the first quarter of this year has seen the biggest jump since 2009.
The figures show there are 111,800 cross border commuters – that’s a rise of 5.7% on the last quarter of last year. The biggest quarterly jump since 2009.
Geneva stands out for cross border workers when compared to the rest of the country. The region accounts for 28% of all trans-frontier workers and the growth is the strongest.
The rest of the country saw a rise of just 1.3% over the same period.
