A young Afghan asylum seeker in Geneva has killed himself after a court ordered him to be returned to Greece.
RTS Television reports immigration authorities had been warned by doctors that the 18-year-old was a suicide risk.
Known as Alireza, he arrived in Geneva early last year and was in school and learning French. He was placed in a foster family and his friends say he was highly motivated.
Fellow asylum seekers and support organisations are said to be planning a protest at the death.
