More than a 1,000 demonstrated in Geneva on Saturday demanding more to be done to ease the canton’s housing crisis.
Around 50 different associations organised the march, under the banner ‘housing for people, not to make money’.
The local demonstrators were joined by other groups from around the country – clear from the German language banners.
The march closed roads and disrupted transport.
Riot police were visible but in the end the protest concluded peacefully.
