Owners of a flood damaged hotel in the Bernese Oberland have been forced to bring in private security after looters started to take items from the wreckage.
The Hotel Kemmeriboden-Bad in Schangnau was severely damaged when the Emme Rover burst its banks after a major storm.
No one was injured, but staff and guests were forced to move to higher floors.
But with the threat of thieves and a growing number of sightseers, the owners say they feel there’s no option but to employ full time security staff.
