A TGV train heading or Geneva smashed into a tractor near Russin yesterday morning.

The tractor was working on vineyards when it slipped down the slope and ended up on the tracks.

The driver was thrown free. He’s being treated in hospital.

The train was traveling at about 95 kph and suffered serious damage – although no one on the train was hurt.

The damaged train was towed to Geneva.

The train line was reopened by mid-afternoon.
