A known sexual predator with a foot fetish has finally been detained.
The 30-year-old man, who was previously known to the police, would call homes with children and ask who answered the phone, whether a parent or the child, about their feet.
He’s also been caught loitering outside schools.
Despite being convicted several times, he remained free. It was hard to charge him with harassment as he would regularly change the target of his attention.
But now Geneva prosecutors have been able to detain him as he’s a proven risk. He will stay locked up until at least May. But courts may decide a longer term or force him to undergo treatment.
