The tech giant Google looks set to cut hundreds of jobs at its two Zurich offices.
The company has already announced thousands of global job loses - and says Switzerland will be affected.
Many of the 5,000 based in Zurich work on Google Maps, the search engine and YouTube. It’s thought 300 positions are likely to go.
Analysts believe the company is falling behind in artificial intelligence and needs to refocus.
That strategy seems to be backed up by a statement from the company which says ‘investment is required in the most important priorities and so some roles will be cut’.
