As covid numbers continue to climb, some hospitals are bringing back compulsory mask requirements.
The University Hospital in Zurich says masks need to be worn by all visitors as do those in the six hospitals owned by the Insel Groupe – which includes the main hospital in Bern, the Inselspital.
A spokesman for the Insel Group says they’re treating 70 patients for covid right now and wastewater analysis shows covid is circulating more strongly now than this time last winter.
Other hospitals say they’re monitoring the situation carefully.
The Geneva University Hospital also has a mask requirement in place, but that was brought in to stem the spread of measles.
