Hundreds of nurses are leaving the profession every month, complaining about over work and under pay.
Many also say it’s hard to reconcile the shift work and a social life.
According to the latest numbers from the Health Observatory, 36% of nurses aged between 20 and 24 leave within their first few years on the job.
In all, around 300 leave every month.
A new training programme is due to be rolled out next year – worth around a billion francs.
There are 7,000 nursing vacancies in Switzerland at the moment.
