An extraordinary rescue operation took place in Schaffhausen early Sunday morning. A 20-year-old man climbed onto a 30-meter-high construction crane, with a climbing harness, and became trapped.
He was spotted by a woman at 7.30am who called the police.
Emergency services, including the police and fire service, then lowered the man to a building on the construction site, before bringing him to the ground using a ladder.
He was taken to the hospital for medical examination.
Proceedings have been launched against the man and he will likely have to pay for the costs of his rescue.
