The embattled former politician Pierre Maudet is facing further legal battles after prosecutors say they are going to take the case to the Federal Court.
Maudet was cleared by an appeal court which ruled there was no evidence the Emirati royal family were expecting favours in return for allowing the former cantonal minister to fly on their private jet to return to Geneva after a Formula One race in the UAE.
Lawyers representing Maudet say they note prosecutors have decided to ignore a ruling from the canton’s highest court.
