Motorists in Nyon are being warned of a scam on the parking meters.
Fake QR codes were stuck on the meters designed to capture credit card details.
They were discovered earlier this week, and police immediately started to remove them.
The police say there are aware of the scam – which has happened elsewhere - but it’s the first time they’ve come across it.
No meter in Nyon uses QR codes – the only way to pay online is by the PayByPhone mobile app.
The meters will be checked regularly.
