Several political parties have joined together to sign an agreement not to abuse artificial intelligence in their campaign ahead of the federal elections next month.
The mainly the centrist and left-wing parties such as the Social Democrats and the Greens are committing to declare any AI use in their campaign material and ban its use in ‘negative’ campaigns which attacks opponents.
The Liberals have not signed the agreement – but are saying they will not use AI abusively – especially deepfake technology.
But the Swiss People’s Party are not taking a position, but do say that anyone using AI crudely tends to get caught and pays the price.
