A security alert was triggered yesterday afternoon outside Geneva Airport after two unattended suitcases were spotted at a bus stop near the departure area.
Police swiftly established a security perimeter, but the nearby shopping areas remained open. The situation was soon resolved when the luggage was declared harmless.
Authorities are reminding travelers never to leave their bags unattended. If a suspicious item is spotted, the public is urged not to touch it but to immediately alert airport personnel or police.
