The Swiss Open in Gstaad has come to a close with Kazakhtan’s Alexander Bublik winning his first clay court title.
He defeated Argentine Juan Manuel Cerundolo in the final of the Gstaad tournament.
Relying on his serve and a few playful shots that are his trademark, Bublik dominated the first set, before losing his composure in the second, which resulted in him smashing and breaking his racket on the ground. But he recovered in the deciding set.
Bublik is the first Kazakh to win in the Bernese resort. At 28 years old, this is his sixth ATP title.
