The man who was driving a snow groomer in canton Vaud, which plunged down a 400-meter slope at the beginning of last week, has died in hospital – says Vaud police.
The 35-year-old was working at Les Diablertets and was returning to the garage at the time.
Why the accident happened is still under investigation, but some believe it may be linked to the fact the resort had just experienced a far heavier than normal snow fall.
Immediately after the accident, the man was helicoptered to hospital – where he died on Saturday. .
