A woman was killed on the A1 autoroute on Saturday evening near the Morges-East exit.
Police say the 28-year-old had stopped on the shoulder – which was closed to traffic at the time. It’s sometimes opened at rush hour to ease the flow.
But a 19-year-old male driver of a second vehicle was on the shoulder and hit the car violently. The woman died on the spot – the man was uninjured.
The road was closed for several hours to allow an investigation.
