Work has started on the St. Jakobshalle in Basel for the Eurovision Song Contest.
The competition will start in just over a month.
The hall has been sealed off and the first materials are being brought in. The contest will need all the available space – so the swimming pool and the nearby ice rink are also closed - it’ll be needed as the media centre.
The first performances will start on the 13th May – but the facilities will be needed before then for rehearsals.
