Covid cases are climbing.
This is according to the Federal Health Office.
Doctors are reporting increasing covid infections and sewerage analysis shows the corona virus load is high – similar to levels seen in previous waves.
But for most people, symptoms are mild – says the head of infectious diseases, Stefan Kuser, at the Sankt Gallen cantonal hospital. He stresses the hospitalization rate is not comparable to that seen at the beginning of the pandemic.
The Zurich cantonal doctor, Rudolf Hauri, says the public should start to take precautions – such as wear a mask, practice social distancing if possible and avoid handshaking.
