Federal Councillors heckled by protestors

Federal Councilors were out across the country marking National Day on Saturday - but not without controversy.

Beat Jans was  in Geneva, at the Parc La Grange celebrations.

He arrived hours late after his car broke down on the A1 near Rolle.

The setting mixed an official ceremony inside a historic building with a public festival on the lawns.

Le Temps reports the event was also punctuated by pro-Palestinian pot-and-pan protests.

Meanwhile,  Ignazio Cassis's speech in Avenches was interrupted by a pro-Palestinian protester.

The man was intercepted by Vaud police at the scene.
