Families of the recently deceased in Geneva can now choose to have their loved one taken to the cemetery by a horse drawn carriage.
The carriage dates from the 19th century, but has been fully restored.
The Department of Social Cohesion says the slow-moving cortege encourages contemplation.
Using the carriage would cost CHF 775 – normally funerals are free in the City of Geneva for residents.
