Two men from Naples, aged 36 and 39, have been sentenced to jail by a Geneva court following a violent attempted robbery in May last year.
The pair have already been convicted multiple times in Italy and France for similar crimes.
Using a motorcycle and scooter with fake plates, the duo tried to snatch a Patek Philippe watch from a driver’s wrist as he was waiting in traffic.
The court found the robbery attempt was carefully planned and executed with “brutality,” noting the victim sustained injuries.
In addition to jail, the men face five-year bans from Switzerland.
