Raiffeisen job cuts

Raiffeisen has announced it will cut up to 180 jobs next year, even as the bank posts one of its strongest half-year results.

The lender wants to save around CHF 60 million on staff and materials in 2027, to hold its cost-to-income ratio steady.

Raiffeisen says more than half the reduction should come through natural turnover, unfilled posts, and early retirements, though talks with staff representatives have only just begun.

It comes as first-half profit jumped 19% to CHF 659 million
