In another sign of life getting back to normal – the number of sexually transmitted infections being treated around the Lake Geneva region is back at a similar amount being reported before the pandemic.
The number of STIs fell sharply in 2020, but it may not be just because of the lockdowns. The Federal Health Office says screening for the infections was limited due to Covid and so the actual number may be higher.
It’s mainly younger people being affected. Those under 30 make up 64% of all cases.
