Students have barricaded themselves in a building at the University of Lausanne.
Echoing many similar demonstrations around the world, they’re demanding a cease fire in Gaza and more humanitarian aid for the war-torn area.
They’re also demanding the university publish a list of how it works with Israeli institutions.
The students say they will occupy the hall in the Géopolis building until Monday.
But unlike elsewhere in the world, it looks set the students will be able to stay for the time being.
The university management is not looking to evict the students immediately. A spokeswoman for the Rectorate says there will be no intervention and no sanctions against the demonstrations.
