The Social Democratic Party says it has had a record number of new members in the space of three days since the election of Donald Trump.
1,000 people have joined – a record influx, says the party.
Throughout the week the party was active on social media, referencing Trump and saying they will be fighting his policies coming to Switzerland.
Right-wing parties are not seeing the same effect.
Although Trump is more popular in Switzerland – 25% say they would have voted for him if they could – the highest percentage compared to neighbouring countries according to a Gallup poll taken before the US election.
